Community School Nurses

Your Community School Nurse:

  • is a qualified nurse with further specialist training in health needs of children and young people

  • is employed by the local Primary Care Trust and is the key health professional for your school

  • is responsible for immunisations given in your school

  • contributes to the health promotion programmes in schools

  • will respect a young person’s confidentiality

  • is available for information, help and advice on any health related issue for children, young people and their parents/carers
